Police Accreditation

Since 2014, the Providence Police Department has held national accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) and state accreditation from the Rhode Island Police Accreditation Commission (RIPAC).

There are approximately 18,000 law enforcement agencies in the United States of which roughly 838 are accredited.
