Providence Police Seize More Than 2.2 Kilograms of Narcotics and Four Firearms in Three Recent Narcotics Investigations

Providence, RI – Providence Police Narcotics Detectives seized more than 2.2 kilograms of suspected narcotics, four firearms and ammunition during three separate narcotics investigations conducted in recent weeks.

The investigations, conducted in the areas of Ontario Street, Dixon Street and Hawkins Street, resulted in multiple arrests and charges involving the alleged possession and distribution of cocaine, fentanyl and methamphetamine, as well as firearms offenses.

“These investigations demonstrate the continued commitment of our Narcotics Bureau to disrupting the distribution of dangerous drugs and removing illegal firearms from our neighborhoods,” said Providence Police Chief Oscar Perez. “The seizure of more than two kilograms of suspected narcotics and four firearms in these three investigations represents significant work by our detectives and our department’s ongoing efforts to protect the residents of Providence.”

Ontario Street

On September 24, 2026, Providence Police Narcotics Bureau detectives executed a search warrant at an apartment on Ontario Street and seized suspected narcotics and two firearms.

The seizure included:

  • 110.48 grams of suspected methamphetamine
  • 8.75 grams of suspected fentanyl
  • One Mossberg 12-gauge shotgun
  • One German Sport Guns .22-caliber pistol
  • Ammunition and magazines
  • Digital scales containing suspected cocaine residue

The investigation identified Rashard Crum, 34, as a subject allegedly involved in the distribution of narcotics. Crum is currently incarcerated in Pennsylvania on an unrelated matter.

Providence Police are seeking an arrest warrant charging Crum with multiple narcotics and firearms offenses, including possession with intent to deliver fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine, and firearm offenses related to the alleged possession of narcotics.

Two individuals located inside the apartment at the time of the search were detained and subsequently released pending further investigation.

Dixon Street

On September 24, 2026, Providence Police Narcotics Bureau detectives executed a search warrant at a Dixon Street residence and seized more than two kilograms of suspected cocaine, a firearm and other property.

The seizure included:

  • 2,057.16 grams of suspected cocaine
  • One 9mm handgun
  • Two loaded 9mm magazines
  • A firearm holster
  • Two cellular phones
  • A vehicle that was seized pending forfeiture

Jeffrey A. Gonzalez, 27, was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession with intent to deliver cocaine
  • Possession of 1 kilogram to 5 kilograms of cocaine
  • Possession of a firearm while committing a crime of violence

Hawkins Street

On September 23, 2026, Providence Police Narcotics Bureau detectives executed a search warrant at a Hawkins Street residence and seized suspected cocaine and methamphetamine, as well as a firearm.

The seizure included:

  • 15.98 grams of suspected cocaine
  • 7.03 grams of suspected methamphetamine
  • One .22-caliber Derringer revolver
  • Two digital scales containing suspected cocaine residue

Robert Hunt, 56, was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession with intent to deliver cocaine
  • Possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine
  • Possession of a firearm while committing a crime of violence
  • Possession of a firearm after having been convicted of a crime of violence

Christopher Pagan, 32, was also arrested and charged with possession of a firearm after having been convicted of a crime of violence.

Across the three investigations, Providence Narcotics Detectives seized:

  • 2,073.14 grams of suspected cocaine
  • 117.51 grams of suspected methamphetamine
  • 8.75 grams of suspected fentanyl
  • Four firearms
  • Ammunition and firearm magazines
  • One vehicle pending forfeiture
